BUT GOD! THE PLOT WILL NOT PREVAIL!

BUT GOD! THE PLOT WILL NOT PREVAIL!

Nahum 1:7–15

“Jehovah is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him.” — Nahum 1:7

As Christian business professionals, we must understand this: God knows what we cannot see. He knows the conversations we never heard, the intentions behind the handshake, and the plans made behind closed doors.

In Nahum, God confronted the wickedness of Nineveh and declared freedom from oppression for His people. Their enemies looked secure, their numbers looked strong, and their power looked unshakable—BUT GOD had the final word!

And that reminds us today: opposition does not outrank God!

They said they knew how to catch you up.
They knew how to make you fall.
They knew how to tarnish your name.
They knew how to take your last.

BUT GOD!

They may know your circumstances, but they do not control your future. They may see your struggles, but they cannot measure the strength of the God who sustains you!

Whatever they devised will not overpower God’s purpose!
Whatever they conjured
will not overthrow His authority!
Whatever they said
does not get the final word over your name!

But hear this: our responsibility is to keep our conduct aligned with our confession. Keep your integrity. Honor your commitments. Tell the truth. Handle your business with wisdom. Do not let someone else’s wrongdoing draw you into doing wrong.

You do not have to compromise your character to protect your calling!

In verse 13, God declares, “For now I will break his yoke off you, and will burst your bonds apart.”

The yoke is not stronger than the One who breaks it!

That pressure does not own you. That setback does not define you. That accusation does not erase a life of integrity.

Trust God with what you cannot control, and remain faithful with what He has placed in your hands.

Whatever has had you hung up, bring it under God’s authority NOW! Keep building. Keep serving. Keep walking uprightly.

The same passage that exposes the plot begins by declaring, “Jehovah is good.”

Before you focus on who may be against you, remember the God in whom you trust.

They had a plan—BUT GOD HAS THE FINAL WORD!
